As the new year creeps in and we’ve all dragged ourselves kicking and screaming through a week at work after some short-lived time off, (if my boss reads this, I’m totally joking), I thought I’d pick my best and the worst purchases of 2016.
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (£37)
This is honestly, the worst foundation I think I have ever used. You need a good few pumps out of the bottle to get any kind of coverage and it literally stayed on my skin for about 1 hour. I’d come home from work looking like I’d been attacked with a face wipe. Even when trying it with numerous matte primers (including the infamous Nivea for Men) and powders it just seemed to just melt off my skin. I ended up getting foundation everywhere from touching my face. So yeah, not great for my combination of normal-oily skin and as a result I binned it. Literally threw £37 in the bin.
Did anybody else have this issue/did it work for you? Let me know I’m interested in some good honest reviews of it!
Anastasia Beverly Hills – Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette (£41)
Thinking about everything I have bought this year, this was a more difficult decision to make than whether or not to go to Uni. (I didn’t).
The colours in this palette are frickin gorgeous! A mixture of warm browns, pinks and golds! The eye shadow is extremely pigmented, it feels so amazingly luxurious, super creamy and blends like a dream! The packaging is also incredible as it has a suede pink velvet casing.
If you’re looking for a new palette, this one is definitely a winner. It is a little bit on the pricey side at £41 but honestly, you won’t be disappointed!
